Broken Man
The first in the "fractured table" series, this square
concrete table top demonstrates the great experiment in the uncontrolled
cracking of concrete. The center features random fracturing and
is bordered by 2" of darker concrete. When the curing is
complete some grouting is selectively applied, the remainder
of the cracks are left exposed. The table is then polished with
a diamond grinder and sealed and waxed by hand. The concrete
rests on a high quality stainless steel base with an industrial
finish. This unique joining of concrete and steel is unparalleled.
